I am writing to update you on the current situation in relation to COVID 19 corona virus and our plans as an Academy.
We continue to monitor the Public Health advice for education settings which is updated daily and will act accordingly with any advice given.
As mentioned in last week’s letter from Mrs O’Neill on behalf of the trust, our Academy is focused on ensuring good hygiene and regular cleaning of high contact areas. We are also ensuring that all toilet and wash facilities are topped up with soap, that we have a continuous flow of hot water and that the hand sanitiser dispensers around the Academy are topped up. We also have antibacterial cleaning sprays and/or wipes available.
It is vital that we check communication systems in school in case of possible forced closures. Parents/carers must make sure that the school has your up-to-date contact information including a text number. Please check the school website daily for any updates.
If we are required to set work remotely this will be done through Class Dojo and other online systems. More information will be coming out about this tomorrow. Logins and passwords will be issued to all children. These systems will allow you to access and check any work set for your child in the event of pupils being asked to work from home.
We are working hard to ensure the Academy keeps the safety of staff and students a priority, whilst ensuring that learning continues. We will communicate regularly about updates, as and when we receive them.

Thank you for your continued support.
